Topics covered include how to set up a free FamilySearch account, how to research in record databases and the FamilySearch catalog, Full-Text search, use of the Research Wiki, how to find digitized books on FamilySearch, and much more. Please bring your laptop and your FamilySearch password to sign on, if you already have one. Class will be limited to 20 attendees. To register, please email your request to washogs@gmail.com. Instructor: Deb Root Shell Deb Root Shell is a retired librarian and archivist. She holds a Master of Arts in History and a Master of Library Science. Deb has researched her family history for over 50 years, particularly in Washington, Morgan, and Athens Counties, and is a member of numerous local history and genealogy groups. She is a genealogical author and lecturer on genealogical and historical topics. Deb has published two volumes of transcriptions of original manuscripts; The Civil War Rolls of Honor of Washington County, Ohio. She is currently the newsletter editor of the Washington County Chapter, Ohio Genealogical Society, and past president of the Greater Cleveland Genealogical Society. August: NO MEETING |
