Lila Hill shared an unusual embroidered post card from World War I with the membership on Saturday, June 18, 2022.


The postcard is from George B Doan, 828 Aero Squadron in Garden City, Long Island, New York to his brother Harry Doan in Lower Salem, Ohio. It is dated, May 12, 1918.


The front of the card shows a bi-wing airplane with a star on its tail and U.S.A below. 

The unusual part is that the front of the card is done in neddlework on cloth and attached to the paper of the postcard!
